Edward Verlander

An experienced advisor to senior executives and a project manager on a wide range of business and organizational change initiatives, Edward has strong skills working one-on-one, in conference leadership, and teaching.

Since 1980, Edward has consulted with clients throughout the world in culturally diverse business environments. For example, client work has been done throughout Europe, in the Caribbean, Central and South America, India, the Middle and Far East. Dr. Verlander has also traveled in India and Japan.

Before going into private practice in 1992, his managerial experience in business included management development, leadership training, and executive education. Other experience included university-level teaching and functional work in strategic planning, financial analysis and accounting. Edward was with the Boston-based, executive development/strategy consulting firm of Harbridge House, and the investment banking firm of Goldman Sachs, where he provided management and organizational consulting services. Still earlier, he was a senior associate in strategic planning at the British firm, Lex Electronics, Inc., managed management education for SCM Corporation, and was an analyst with Aetna Insurance.

Born in England, Dr. Verlander now lives with his family in Oyster Bay, New York. He earned a B.Sc., an MBA degree from the University of Connecticut, and masters and doctoral degrees from Columbia University. He completed the Executive Program at the Columbia Business School, has published a number of articles, and is certified to use various psychological and diagnostic instruments.

In his spare time he enjoys gardening, reading historical fiction, playing the guitar and laughing with his wife and two children.
